KIRKUS REVIEW

Last Fall this author did a good thriller The Disappearance of Kit Shane, an easy seller and an exciting story. In this he tells of Dick who is fleeing across Idaho suspected of murder. Inadvertently he gets into the Snyder-Morgan feud when he takes the place of Rafe, a hired man. The mystery is O.K. but you will have to watch your step because this is a yarn for older boys, don't let it go out for any younger mystery readers. The first fight in Dick's life takes place in a disreputable night. club called The Masquerade. A good between age book, possible for some who are already reading adult crime stories.
