KIRKUS REVIEW

A mystery yarn by the author of many mystery stories for the teens. Here, two weeks before the opening of school, things begin to happen on the western College of Mines campus, and two young bucks who have been on the verge of fisticuffs' are drawn together in a sudden need for action. A monkey of felt whose brilliant vocabulary consists of the work ""sucker"" is left by mistake on one of the boys' desks. A professor who preaches dangerous ""isms"" seems to have been the intended butt, but when he disappears, things happen fast, and the boys solve almost all the excitements in a confused finish. Complicated and somehow slow.
