The popularity of the Bounty books -- the Bounty picture, should be used as a starter for stimulating interest in this account of two great mutinies in the British navy. The fact that countless people wonder what became of Captain Bligh after the trial will make his reappearance in the attempt to settle the Nore mutiny of signal interest. The first mutiny -- at Spithead -- was adroitly handled, and proved eminently successful; the second, which was more colorful and dramatic, and more vital from the human angle, was a failure, thru wrong leadership. Skilful mustering of facts but virtually no dramatizing of these facts to build the type of story Nordhoff and Hall have made out of a mutiny of far less magnitude.
