POSSESSION

L. P. Davies, abandoning his recent, almost indistinguishable sf/mystery stories which of late have drifted off into thinner air, has written his most palpable horror story in some time, privet-hedged within an ordinary English village. A most unlikely site for what seems to be going on--the vandalism of some graves, most recently that of a shy nonentity of a young man; the interest of a very old and very, very rich world industrialist; and the questionable work of a scientist who proves to be pottering with the spirits of the dead and the bodies of the recently living. Davies, a firm, quiet writer will thoroughly commit your interest.
