Anecdotal material about parties of the time, about yachting, the races, the spas, Saratoga, Newport, New York. And -- in sharp contrast -- a final chapter describing the coronation of George the VI and Westminster Abbey from the inside looking on. Good gossipy stuff, with a certain sort of snob appeal. Not the cheap and somewhat unpleasant sensationalism of the other book.
