KIRKUS REVIEW

A good yarn, adroitly spun, with authentic background, in the story of the daughter of an adventuress, who, in spite of the liabilities of her beauty and continental upbringing, her failure as a governess, her affair with an actor which carries her to the depths of the theatrical profession, is able, when her marriage to an old nobleman is threatened, to find a new basis on which to build their life together. Market: women and better type rental libraries.
