KIRKUS REVIEW

Dr. Lance Webb, senior minister of North Broadway Methodist Church, Columbus, Ohio, has already demonstrated his ability to write both gracefully and effectively on what it means to live the Christian life. His earlier books Conquering the Seven Deadly Sins and Discovering Love, sharing the insight of his helpful ministry with a wider reading congregation, will have created a ready market for this book. Point of Glad Return clearly tells how faith in Christ, the ""point of glad return"", is the only answer to man's frustrations, the perils of success, and the handicaps of human frailty. ""The very hope of the world as well as the significance and value of the Christian religion stands or falls with our ability to confront the living Christ"", writes Dr. Webb. ""The vitality of this meeting determines our ability to live the truth he taught, for it is through him that we enter a saving, transforming, life-giving relationship with the eternal love of God that makes all the difference in the living of our days."" This book will confirm the faithful in their faith, and should they read it, lead many an inquirer to seek further Him of whom such glorious things are here persuasively spoken.
