KIRKUS REVIEW

On the heels of the author's Singing Strings comes this illustrated text on percussion and rhythm instruments. The drum, the marimba, the maracas, the carillon, and many variations of the familiar instruments are described. Simple versions of many instruments are explained to the reader who is given instructions on how to make them himself. An excellent hobby book, this text belongs at home and in school, and may well be used as part of the music and crafts curriculum.
