INVESTIGATING PSYCHICS: Five Life Histories by Larry Kettelkamp

INVESTIGATING PSYCHICS: Five Life Histories

Borrowing status from subatomic physics (where ""effect sometimes seems to precede cause"") and trendy astro-speculation (perhaps the universe is structured like a hologram), Kettelkamp then profiles five ""gifted psychics."" They are artist Ingo Swann who has conducted ""impressive"" psychic probes of Jupiter and Mercury; British Rosemary Brown who took dictation from dead composers (in addition to musical messages Chopin once warned her that the bathwater was overflowing); spiritual healers Olga and Ambrose Worrall whose feats amazed Johns Hopkins physicians; and young Matthew Manning whose versatile talents might stem from a violent electrical shock that threw his mother across the room three weeks before he was born. Anyone seeking fuel for credulity will find this a bonanza--certainly more exciting than Berger (above). But the title misleads; this is not investigation but titillation.
