KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of Vagabond Voyaging confines himself to American holiday suggestions and shows the possibilities of shank's mare, bicycle, boat, train, motor and other means of varying your usual two-weeks-with-pay. He emphasizes the moderate means bracket, includes letters from satisfied customers, and all in all offers as varied a selection of playtime jaunts as generally conceived possible. He does not list places to stay, but includes in his appendix the seasons in each state, type of country, sports, accommodations, prices, etc. Good travel book item, particularly with foreign travel at low ebb.
