THE ABBOT'S HOUSE by Laura Conway

THE ABBOT'S HOUSE

By

Pub Date: Aug. 16th, 1974
Publisher: Saturday Review Press/Dutton

One of those Regency ruffled trifles in which Ennis, at the death of her mother, goes to stay with the Marquesa de Verletta whose husband proves to have been Ennis' real father. But then he is dead -- actually embalmed with the family jewels which a cousin would like to possess in an old chest in an old part of the Abbot's house. And a romance on the side. . . More like before -- perhaps a little less than before -- but no one will even notice since Miss Conway handles the form well enough.
