WORLD OF THEIR OWN by Laura Cooper Rendina

WORLD OF THEIR OWN

By

Pub Date: Sept. 10th, 1963
Publisher: Little, Brown

When a busload of teen-aged Floridians arrive in Connecticut for the summer harvest, ""their world"" is one of tangled relationships and tobacco leaves. The descriptions of life in the hot tobacco fields and the busy sheds seems ruggedly realistic. The author does an amazing job of keeping track of each of the several characters (all clearly delineated and well developed) in the patchwork story. It is a summer of change--a summer in print which will hold captive many a starry-eyed teen ager. By the author of Trudi (1959, p. 450, J-254).
