The Fables have been dressed in striking new clothing by Tony Palazzo's colored pictures but their presentation in simplified form is a disappointment. Two page spreads picture 45 of them. The Fox and the Grapes, The Hare and the Tortoise, The Goose that La the Golden Eggs, etc.- and the end result is fun in spite of textual watering down. Firm stitching. Large type.
