KIRKUS REVIEW

An introduction to the big ring, this text explains in simple language the composite parts that go to make up the show. Although all the information is here, the allure of the circus is somehow absent, nor does Laura Scotin capture the magic that makes all the details she enumerates worthwhile. Let's Go to the Circus is a didactic exigesis. For real enjoyment an actual trip is suggested.
