LET'S GO TO A CONCERT

The orchestra, the conductor, the rehearsal, the performance, down to the last applause and the proper deportment at concerts are carefully compiled here. There is little doubt that the concert or would-be concert attendant will be academically superbly equipped to undergo a formal musical experience. But whether he will grasp the essential quality of such an experience, the emotional fullness which demands music as its voice and its ear, is in doubt. For this he must await a more vivid presentation.
