HOW MANY BEARS?

Report repeated from the August 1st bulletin, when scheduled for fall publication, as follows: ""Two children, filled with the excitement of The Three Bears story, yearn to come in contact with a living, breathing bear. Their wish is granted when they visit a national park and see not three bears, but ten live bears. A conscious effort has been made here to build the young reader's vocabulary by including new words and phrases and also to sharpen his arithmetic sense by integrating a mathematical problem into the somewhat flat plot line. Illustrated by E. Harper Johnson, the text may be heightened by the pictures which, unfortunately, were not available at the time this review was written.
