BRAVE DAVY COON

Raccoons do all their business at night and sleep all day, but the other animals thought young Davy Coon was a lazy good for nothing. It took near disaster for them to discover that his nighttime alertness had its values for them, and suddenly he is a hero in their eyes. This is primarily a picture book, but the running text fills in the story and the humor of the pictures. Not another Dr. Doolittle or Freddy, but, for younger children, this is a different sort of animal adventure tale.
