KIRKUS REVIEW

Three murders aboard a small Japanese steamer westward bound, solved by news service reporter Larkin, who lets an insurance detective aboard take the credit. Stolen plans, vanadium contracts, missing heiresses and plenty of complications -- plus romance. Few ingredients missing. Not top ranking, but fair.
