KIRKUS REVIEW

Doubledyed duplicity as Johnny Saturday, released from a murder charge on the obstinacy of one juror, is blackmailed by his savior into taking the rap for further killings. An isolated island, a fanatic religious band, omnipresent matchboxes, a gal pal on a newspaper, and a definite blitz against him, keep Johnny, on the lam, a busy and quickstepping suspect. Federal interference speeds up his chase. Breathless.
