DYNAMITE AT INDIAN GAP

Those who met Clint Gallant in Mystery in Rainbow Valley (p. 548 J-198- 1961) will be prepared for (a) good conservation and forestry data and (b) a surfeit of adventure and near misses. Clint has returned to Indian Gap as a graduate forester to find that both his job and his girl have been taken over by Gus Norley. Jane seems taken in by the wrong guys and Clint seems out of luck. The dam is leaking, there is a second forest fire and a plane crash. The bark beetles are thriving. The seeding attempts are ruined by erosion. Even his life seems threatened. The problems of course are solved- and Clint's Career as a forester is under way. Some may road it for adventure- some for forestry. Timber.
