THE AIR FORCE: From Civilian to Airman

Written by a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, this book should serve as a helpful guide to the prospective draftee who must choose between one or another branches of the armed services. Its title is self-explanatory in that the entire career of an airforce man is diagrammed, the qualifications for his enlistment, the training he will receive, and the possible avenues of service which are opened to him. A helpful discussion on the future of the Airforce is included as well as the possibilities open to young men and women who would make the Airforce their life-work. Clearly written, the author wisely permits the achievements of the force to speak for themselves and avoids the embarrassing bravado which often characterizes books of this sort.
