KIRKUS REVIEW

There's an inordinate amount of information here, as well as an enthusiasm which is backed by experience to spark the growing tourist traffic to the countries of the sun. From the initial point of planning the kind of trip you want to take, this goes down Mexico way and on to the Caribbean, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Antigua, the French West Indies, Barbados and the Antilles. In each case, there is something of the history, geography, languages, natives, sites, sports, amusements, shopping (and the best buys); there are the transportation facilities and their costs; the hotels- and restaurants- and what they offer; as well as all you will need to know about clothes, and children (if you are taking them along), health, tips, reading matter, etc. Illustrated with maps, this will take care of many vacations and should find a readymade market-as well as a long term one.
