KIRKUS REVIEW

A likable yarn of murder in the Adirondacks, where a psychology professor vacationing is made deputy sheriff and is right in the thick of three killings which affect his family and the girl with whom he is falling in love. Hatred of a local power grabber sets in motion events which finally lead the professor into a drinking bout with the killer. Good casual conversation, nice people, intelligent tale.
