KIRKUS REVIEW

A close circle of old loves and loyalties keep Wren anxious, and taciturn, when the owner of a rare picture she had authenticated is killed, the validity of the picture doubted. In the trial which follows all are involved, Wren, Jan- her oldest friend, Pedro- Jan's husband, Nicky- who had sold the picture, and only in establishing the fraud which took place is the killer simultaneously exposed... Again a smooth performance, if without the special suspense of some he has done.
