Q AS IN QUICKSAND

Again the unobtrusive excellent of others in this series, this combines considerable evil and enigma in the story of the Gobelin brothers, Asa who had God on his side, Ward who charmed as he cheated, and Quentin whom they murdered between them. Martin Folger, just out of the army, refuses to testify to clear an inheritance for Asa and Ward, joins up with the dead man's widow to thwart the brothers, and gets his final evidence through laboratory expert Jub Freeman's fingerprints. Neat.
