THE LEATHER MAN

A much too close community circle (Westchester) as setting for the disappearance, or was it murder, of Lola -- Lola who had bad an affair with Frank (just married), who was to marry his closest friend (just divorced), who was still playing around with others, and who deserved to die. Fingermarked by all evidence as chief possibility, unsure of himself, Frank reaches the solution ahead of the police. Even distribution of suspicion and suspense for a closely interlocked situation, well styled.
