A book in intention for the layman, but in actuality for these versed in the lingo, or at any rate with a scientific start. However, it is done a step at a time, with introductory chapters on the historical background, the economic hurdles, and the main portion of the book devoted to a technical analysis of the television system, -- projection tubes, cathode beams, synchronization, film, transmission, televising of motion picture film, etc. What amateurs may accomplish -- how a studio functions-the future of television -- its usefulness. Good of its kind.
