KIRKUS REVIEW

There was a rash of prison books a year and more ago; then a let-down. Now comes this for the Lawes' market. The life story of a convict who was pardoned a year and a half ago, and who has made up his mind to stay on the right side of the wall at last. His is a story of life on the wrong side of a progressive build up from petty larceny to forgery; of successive prison breaks and recaptures; of life behind the walls. Good human interest material -- for anyone interested in criminology.
