MR. PAINTS THE EGGS

Companion volume -- but somewhat younger in appeal, with a story of and how the found a way to tell him how much he loved him. The kitten could tell him, and so could the canary, and even the flowers in the field and the goldfish had a way. The rabbit hears Johnny singing a song, and he gets an idea that he could give him colored eggs. He borrows the colors from the yellow cowslip, the purple violet, the leaf of the hazel bush, the robin's feather. A delightful tale -- timely for the Easter season.
