Another Peter Clancy yarn, with murder precipitating the uncovering of theft, blackmail, etc. Wiggar, the invaluable and perfect valet, does more about it than his adored master, while Xerrigan muddles around in prescribed (according to the mystery writers) professional detective style. Moves along -- but not very original.
