A T-square triangle, this tells the trials and triumphs of Deane Winters, a young woman intent on finding a niche in architecture. After joining an established firm, Deane finds her attention straying in spite of herself to Jeffrey York, the mocking artist whom she finds irresistible. Although she would prefer to design small residences, Deane's major assignment is a castle commissioned by a wealthy eccentric. A weak sub-plot intrudes in the theft of plans Deane designed. Lance Hadley submits the stolen plans and wins first prize with Deane's plans, which seems most unlikely; however there is interest independent of this element in the resolution of Deane's romance with Jeff and the account of her efforts to help the wealthy, crippled son of a client. A slick, superficial and entertaining addition to this Romance For Young Moderns series.
