Her cousin Lisa, a teenage model, despite her disagreeable disposition, seemed to embody all enviable attributes to Beth who regarded herself as gawky and unattractive. Beth's role as fashion model in a community show only served to heighten her feelings of dissatisfaction. Then from funds earned in a part-time job, Beth enrolls in the Marshall School of Charm where her transformation begins via classes in makeup, etiquette, posture, etc. Quite by accident she poses for photographer Amos Burr, and, although their romance is rocky, their professional relationship encourages her to apply to a famous Model Agency, where her acceptance as an apprentice furnishes us with a glimpse into this coveted career. Although Beth's is a success story, the girl whose gaze focuses on glamour will gain some valuable information on the requirements, preparation and actual work of models.
