AUGUSTUS HELPS THE MARINES

These Augustus stories are cut to a pattern, perhaps, but the pattern is a popular one, and Augustus continues to be a very live small boy, whose adventures are dream fulfillment for most boys of his age. He has helped the Navy and helped the Army: now his Dad, tiring of Georgia and the construction job on an Army camp, uproots the family once again, and they move to Florida, where he gets a job on a Marine camp. And Augustus has another exciting adventure, this time in locating a secret seaplane base, just in time to save a Marine transport. The Army episode had a bit more to recommend it than any of the others; but the addicts will like this, too.
