Back in 1944, Leigh White wrote a book, which paralleled at points, diverged at others with St. John's . His background on Eastern European affairs is of long standing, and in this book he presents a phase of the East West struggle in sharp contradiction with that of the advocates of aid to Tito, deviationist leader of Yogoslavia. He traces his devious career, tells the story of the break with Stalin, and specifically itemizes account of how Tito has fleeced the Western powers, misapplied UNRRA funds, intervened in neighboring states to the end of establishing a Balkan empire.
