A narrative poem depicting the power, the glamor, the futility of war, through the figure of Bob Wainwright, flyer. Through its passages appear those thoughts too fleeting to be captured in story form:- thoughts of ""square-heads"" they hope to get: of ""white soft breasts"" where tired heads could rest; of home. Despair, love, excitement, courage, and always futility. Famous figures in the flying history are among his comrades and his opponents. Brewer was himself a filer in the American service in France. Might have the appeal of Night Flight. Sell to those interested in flying to men particularly.
