From Arabella, Araminta, Audrey and Ann to Zepha and Zelda--trivial rhymes featuring girls' names and an occasional chuckle: ""Nellie tried/ To knit a sweater./ Knitting wasn't/ Nellie's lot./ Other people/ Knit much better./ Nellie's knitting/ Was a KNOT."" Most are slightly saccharine and the washed out pastels don't liven things up.
