THE RICHEST POOR FOLKS

This is one for the whole family. It is the account of a 10-year-old boy's journ with his Grandmother and Aunt Jo in the upper Sacramento Valley of the '20's. From a vantage point of a few inches above and behind the boy's shoulder we see all the characters of the rural community with the fun of the adult and older population being scrutinized by the unhypocritical eye of the boy. The apt word for this is heartwarming, with no contempt implied.
