Fast action tale, with plenty doing, on and off the ground. The author of Attack writes a story of aviation in its infancy, twenty years ago. Steve, young, aggressive, finds his father's budding airline pretty much of a hurdle, with the problem of a terrific burden of a debt, a recalcitrant bank, an insubordinate set of pilots, who balk at instrument flying, and a firebrand of a secretary. There's a risky route, there's plenty of danger in ice, in fog, in bad equipment and dangerous landing fields. Steve pulls the pilots into line, gets at the root of the difficulties, saves the firm and wins the girl. Men's story -- for rentals chiefly.
