COOK RIGHT -- LIVE LONGER

The author of Eat And Grow Younger (1952) here pursues his vendetta against all refined foods and, surprisingly for a nutritionist (many of the soybean-happy are apt to be somewhat stern to the happy glutton in all of us) comes up with some entertaining recipes. Blueberry upside down cake, albeit prepared with rather rugged flour, is hardly a penance for nutritional rigors; and, although ""Broiled Heartburger"" may stir a qualm, there are plenty of nice, appealing, normal recipes dealing with meat, fish and shellfish. The don'ts are familiar--high protein and natural nutriments si: refined and chemicalled no! Reliable for a nutrition-cook-book staple.
