Somehow the simplicity of the running captions that tell the story of Milly, a little girl who lives on a farm, and her dog companions, does not fit -- to my way of thinking -- with the near sophistication of the comic strip technique of Charlotte Stein. At first glance, Milly suggests the paper doll type of child. Perhaps this is the way the small fry will view her. The ""story"" is a friendly little tale of a farm.
