KIRKUS REVIEW

Tells of the problems in buying a birthday present for Daddy with ten cents apiece for Peter and Penny. They do not miss any stores, specialty or department, but nothing comes within their price range, and Pup makes trouble all along. When at last they are able to settle for balloons and candy, they can give Daddy ""just what he wanted"". A matter of fact, every day sort of story, with stylized, modern feeling pictures in interesting shades of color, that provides plenty of recognition for little listeners.
