Coco and Bill Hastings (of earlier opus -- Murder On Russian Hill) unsuccessfully try to avoid meddling in murder while visiting a friend on a California island. Five senils uninvited guests, one whose identity is unknown to all, prove responsible for much discomfort and murder when the anonymous visitor is killed. A scandal in the past, a sparring young couple in the present, an embarassment of clues, and miscellaneous lethal attempts give the Hastings a far from restful holiday. Slow starter, but gains momentum with Coco hot on the finish. All right.
