KIRKUS REVIEW

Honest and likable family ""renter"" -- about a good all- round, foot on the ground household in Berkely, California. ""There's a professor-father, a mother who holds divergent forces together, and three teen agers. There's a shakeup when some guests -- an ex-beau of the wife's and his petulant son -- come for the week-end and stay on. They render a service, however, for they reveal some flaws in the family to themselves, the daughter loses her affectations, the father comes closer to his son, etc.
