KIRKUS REVIEW

A manager's eyeview of the incredible ball team, from 1937 to today- with many inside bits of information to explain the Ebbets Field brand of baseball. No feelings spared, as the author attacks people as though they were all umpires. Will sell with no prompting in Brooklyn and little among fans elsewhere. Durocher's suspension added another sports epic to its literature. That gives this story news value.
