KIRKUS REVIEW

An absorbing account of the life of this great artist and scientist, stressing those aspects of his work that would be particularly fascinating to boys and girls, -- his airplanes, his submarines, his cameras, his discoveries in the world of physics and so on. Much stronger on that side than on the side of his art, in which field the author seems neither inspired nor inspiring. But a good job all the same, and so far as I know the only one available for this age group.
