KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of brothers which deals with sibling and athletic rivalries at Sterling High, where Hal and his brother Jack are in the senior class. It is upright Jack who is his basketball team's star player, while Hal hides his talents in intramural games and is critical of the varsity coach. To give him a chance, Hal is made a member of the varsity team but competition continues until Hal begins to realize what fairness means and the two boys lead Sterling to a Conference championship. Trustworthy if tortuous.
