A porcupine's scheme to get rich quick by selling clocks to the forest animals founders when--on the second day he's in business--the animals discover that they don't need clocks: the sun wakes them up, tells them when it's midday-meal time, and when it's time to go to sleep. This looks, if anything, worse than it sounds. But not, maybe, worse than it sounds aloud: ""They sang and danced until the sun was in the middle of the sky. Then they ate. And when the sun went down, the animals went to sleep."" An unaided typewriter could almost do better than that.
