SECOND SEASON JINX

Baseball story. Left handed pitcher Clem Gompers, eighteen and with a season as a bright star rookie with the Silver Sox behind him- a $50,000 start- must prove his worth the second year, and he does. A scrappy club clashes with Clem's own temperamentalisms and there's a rivalry with a player from another outfit, but finally the series is won and Clem's a real star before he's drafted for service in Korea. Lots of diamond cutting for rock-solid fans.
