FORTY DAYS TO SANTA FE

A first rate tale of the days of wagon trains and buffalo hunts and Indian scouts, which should appeal to red-blooded boys and their fathers (if the latter like good Westerns). Young Johnny is an orphan, and goes from Ohio to live with the uncle, a Missouri river-boat captain. His uncle's death throws him into the hands of a trapper, who starts his training as Indian Scout.
