KIRKUS REVIEW

A sugary bicentennial bonbon featuring the reappearance of George III (discreetly restored to full possession of his marbles), George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson at a 1976 costume celebration at the White House. Voltaire and the Archangel Gabriel also join the proceedings, which consist of genteel exchanges of political credos resulting in a belated dusting-off of our leaders' ""decent respect to the opinions of mankind.
